Yes, I'm still doing the 52 project. The beginning of 2012 has has been quite insane...27 CLEP credits, 6 core course credits, starting five new students, and getting out wholesale international orders to Greece of all places!
This week was spring break,
so I've had some time to catch up on the project and blog it before the spring term begins.
I have conducting, ear training and sight singing, applied music, and a piano pedagogy paper to finish...so I don't think the spring term will be much less relaxing than the winter term, other than knowing I am done with testing college board examinations! I even had a dream that I was at the testing center and had to write ten essays in ten minutes...glad those days are over. I still can't believe that the tests are all completed.
So here we go. Jordan and Maddy will come in later, but for right now I'm just posting mine.
week 6 wire
week 7 fall
week 8 plug
week 9 loud
week 10 soft
week 11 smooth...
yes this is pathetic, I was wandering around Saturday night wondering what on earth was smooth in my life
week 12..same here, we have no old, interesting doors...
just the nice, modern doors that shut just right with locks but are not interesting and don't have those funny rounded knobs for handles
week 13 green

Maddy has been sick and has had some problems with her lens,
so for right now our project 52 will be just 2 pictures instead of 3.

Well, I'm going to try to keep up with the blog at least once a week this year,
no matter how busy college and teaching gets!
we're doing a project 52 challenge together,
with one theme a week and each of our perspectives on the theme.
Last week was "egg." Rather strange to start out the new year, but here goes!
Mine is on the left.

Today I realized that today is the last day of the 365.
I can hardly imagine not being a part of a 365 anymore.
I am so thankful for what the 365 did for me this year.
I learned so much more about shooting manual my camera...especially exposure and white balance.
The 365 taught me to be more observant of my surroundings.
And I have a new collection of pictures that would never have existed without the 365.
So I don't know how much I'll be posting on the blog this coming year.
With tough music theory classes getting underway this semester, teaching my own students,
and keeping up with etsy shops, I'm not sure how much photography will fit in.
But thanks to all you folks who followed me this year through the 365...
through the not so good pictures (when I was too tired or creatively burnt out)
and the better pictures that I'm happy to have taken.
